Mental Fatigue, Panic Attacks and Sadness

Essential oils, when used in the right combination, can help alleviate negative emotions.


Mental Fatigue

The brain being overactive causes mental fatigue. The mind gets tired, just as the body, and it must be cared for and allowed to get rest and have time to refresh itself. A combination of lavender, rosemary, and peppermint used in a bath, in massage oil, or as an inhalation can help relive mental fatigue.

Panic Attacks

Panic attacks are generally associated with anxiety. In a panic attack, the body is preparing itself to cope with an emergency situation, but it is doing it at the wrong time. As a result, the body produces excess adrenaline. This causes the muscles to become tense and breathing and heart rates to increase. Stress, emotions, foods, caffeine, illness, or drugs often cause panic attacks. To overcome a panic attack, combine ylang ylang, lavender, neroli, and frankincense for use in a bath, in a massage oil, or as an inhalation.

Poor Memory

Memory problems are rarely the result of aging. Instead, it is brought on my improper diet and nutrition. To prevent memory loss, use rosemary in a bath, as a massage oil, or as an inhalation.

Postnatal Depression

Postnatal depression occurs in some women after the birth of the baby. It results in feelings of apathy, or even disdain, toward the baby. To combat postnatal depression, combine chamomile, bergamot, and neroli and use it in a bath or as a massage oil. This combination should not be used as an inhalation.

Sadness

Feelings of sadness are different from depression. Sadness occurs from time to time, whereas depression lasts for long periods of time. If you are experiencing feelings of sadness, combine neroli with bergamot and use it in a bath, for a massage oil, or as an inhalation.

Stress

Stress is the body’s natural reaction to a stimulus that disturbs the body’s natural balance. This stimulus can be mental, physical, or emotional. Treat feelings of stress by combining lavender, chamomile, and sandalwood in a bath or as a massage oil. This combination should not be used as an inhalation.

Essential oils, when used in the right combination, can help alleviate negative emotions. These combinations can also be used to prevent these emotions from occurring. Through the use of essential oils, both the mind and body can be at rest.
