Electric Fan Aromatherapy Diffusers
Another popular style of aromatherapy diffusers is an electric fan
diffuser. Usually, a fan diffuser employs an absorbent pad on which you
place a few drops of your chosen essential oils. The pad is then placed
into the fan unit, and a fan blows air across or through it, carrying
the scent throughout the room. Depending on the size of the fan and the
pad, a fan aromatherapy diffuser may provide coverage for a single room
or for several rooms.
Nebulizer (cool mist) Aromatherapy Diffusers
Nebulizers break up the molecules of a scent into smaller molecules and
disperse them into the air, often as part of a ‘cool mist’. Nebulizers
are usually the most expensive type of aromatherapy diffusers available,
but even they are relatively inexpensive. You’ll pay about the same (or
less) for an aromatherapy nebulizer as you would for a cool mist
vaporizer. Some are equipped with a timer that turns them off and on at
regulated intervals so that you can control the level of saturation in
your rooms precisely. Of all types of aromatherapy diffusers, nebulizers
give the most consistent saturation of the air, and since they don’t use
heat to power evaporation, there’s no chance that the volatile oils will
be damaged or changed by heat.
Personal Aromatherapy Inhalers
You’ve probably seen at least one of these in popular use – a Vicks
decongestant inhaler is a personal aromatherapy inhaler. These, however,
allow you to fill a small reservoir with your choice of scent and have
it available whenever you need a quick pick-me-up or serenity break.
They’re about the size of a thick ballpoint pen, and will fit into your
purse or pocket. Personal aromatherapy inhalers come in a variety of
colors and materials, so you can even pack a few for different purposes.
Automobile Aromatherapy Diffusers
There are several models of automobile aromatherapy diffusers available.
All of them plug into your car’s cigarette lighter to provide
electricity for either a fan or a source of heat to help diffuse the
scent throughout your car.
Personal Jewelry Aromatherapy Diffusers
With a jewelry aromatherapy diffuser, you can wear your therapy. There
are many unique and attractive pieces of jewelry that contain reservoirs
for adding essential oils that evaporate through a cork or other
permeable tissue and surround you with scent.
No matter what method of diffusion you use, you should always be sure to
use pure essential oils with your aromatherapy diffusers. A good
aromatherapy diffuser used with essential oils can help improve your
mood, soothe jangled nerves or awaken your energy.
