Assisting the Immune System
Using essential oils is a great way to build up the immune system, which
identifies and destroys things, such as viruses and bacteria, that don’t
belong in the body system. Factors such as poor diet, stress,
pollutants, and antibiotics can compromise the body’s immune system. To
give your immune system a boost, combine tea tree, lavender, and lemon
with a carrier oil and perform a whole body massage. Or, add a few drops
of the combination to a handkerchief or vaporizer and inhale. Adding ten
drops of the mixture to a bath and soaking for 15 minutes will also
assist in strengthening your body’s immune system.
Allergies
The essential oils of lavender, chamomile, and Melissa/lemon balm can be
combined to assist with allergies, which are triggered by the body’s
immune reaction to substances that are not truly harmful. These
essential oils can be combined with a carrier oil and used to massage
the sinus area. A few drops of these oils can also be added to a
handkerchief in order to inhale the vapors. Of course, be cautious when
using essential oils to alleviate allergy symptoms, in case you have an
allergic reaction to the essential oils themselves.
