Aromatherapy, although it has been around for thousands of years, is
increasing in popularity in modern culture as people around the world
recognize the need to balance body, mind and spirit. Aromatherapy
provides not only emotional benefits but physical benefits as well.
Researching aromatherapy will lead you on a path to greater overall
well-being and health of both body and mind.
Aromatherapy is meant to help relax, rejuvenate and refresh you, if your
experience with a certain essential oil or mix of essential oils does
not create a relaxing feeling for you, then discontinue use. Every
essential oil is slated for a different use, for a reason. Each
different oil will trigger a different system and reaction of that
system.
You can find aromatherapy for a variety of emotional ailments including:
depression, anxiety, poor memory, stress, grief, mental fatigue and
panic attacks. There are also aromatherapy treatments for physical
ailments as well, such as: acne, asthma, allergies, colds and flu’s,
headaches, insomnia, indigestion, menopause, a variety of skin disorders
and problems such as oily or dry skin, stretch marks, stress related
injuries and ailments, and even menopause.
There are a few recipes of mixing essential oils that you can utilize to
enhance the air in your space. For a clean smell, add one drop of
Cedarwood, three drops of Pine and 2 drops of Rosemary together in a
diffuser or vaporizer.
To help you get to sleep and sleep better, add two drops each of
Chamomile, Lavender and Neroli in a diffuser or vaporizer for a deeper,
sounder sleep.
For a spicier aroma add four drops of Bergamot and two drops of Clove
together in a diffuser or vaporizer.
If you are looking for a more aphrodisiac scent to add some ‘romance to
the air’, add two drops each of Geranium, Orange and Ylang Ylang.
