If you are pregnant there are oils that you MUST avoid during your
pregnancy as they may have serious and harmful side effects:
Boldo, Calamus, Horseradish, Hyssop, Mugwort, Mustard, Pennyroyal, Rue,
Savin, Tansy, and, Wintergreen. The essential oils Mugwort, Pennyroyal,
Rue and Savin are abortifacients, which will cause a miscarriage of your
fetus.
Again, it is important to reiterate that pregnant women should NOT use
aromatherapy during the first trimester, as the baby is growing rapidly
and the use of essential oils may cause developmental problems or
miscarriage.
Before trying out any essential oils or
aromatherapy, remember to check with your doctor. There are potentially
fatal side effects for your fetus if you go willy-nilly into the vast
world of aromatherapy without some guidance from your doctor, or at
least a qualified aromatherapist.
